Motion artifact identification

Definition: Motion artifact identification refers to the algorithms that are used to find data points in the fNIRS signals affected by motion artifacts. The available motion identification methods are typically based on detecting large variance in the fNIRS recordings e.g., data points exceeding a certain threshold of the standard deviation and/or amplitude of the fNIRS signal within a predefined time window.
