Spatially resolved spectroscopy

Definition: Spatially Resolved Spectroscopy is derived from the diffusion approximation by differentiating attenuation in respect to distance. The method requires at least two different source detector separations close together with the furthest being at 3cm. The technique is used to estimate absolute scale concentrations of k*HbO_2 and k*Hb and using these to estimate in % the absolute tissue saturation of tissue frac{k*HbO_2}{k*(HbO_2 + Hb} %.
