Counterbalancing
Definition: Counterbalancing is a method utilized to mitigate order effects in repeated measures designs. In this procedure, when the experimental paradigm involves multiple conditions, the participant group is divided into sub-groups with equal numerosity. Each sub-group experiences the various conditions in different sequences, whether it be two or more, to avoid the presence of systematic order effects.
