Cytochrome-c-Oxidase
Definition: Cytochrome-c-Oxidase is an enzyme complex that plays a central role in the mitochondrial electron transport cascade leading to adenosine triphosphate (ATP) synthesis by oxidative phosphorylation. Its activity depends on energy demands. Cytochrome-c-Oxidase redox state can be measured with broadband NIRS.
