Light
Definition: Light is a form of radiant energy emitted from a luminous body. It is a general term referring to electromagnetic radiation in the visible part of the spectrum for humans, ranging approximately from 650 to 900 nm (1 nm = m). Its electromagnetic waves travel in free space with the speed of m/s. Like all electromagnetic radiation, light can also be interpreted not only as waves but also as discrete “packets” of energy (quanta) known as photons.
