Pre-processing

Definition: Pre-processing refers to the various steps that transform the data prior to analysis (i.e. prior to e.g. general linear model or image reconstruction). Pre-processing of fNIRS data usually aims at reducing noise in the signal, such as motion artifacts and systemic physiology components.
