Time series
Definition: Time series is a sequence of data points ordered in time. Typically, the parameter/variable is sampled at regular time intervals, t , which defines a sampling frequency, fs, given by fs=1/t. For instance, in fNIRS, the intensity detected at a detector coming from a light source defines a time series for the light intensity at a source-detector pair.
