Topology
Definition: Topology refers to the way in which the components of the nervous system are arranged or related to each other, and can be modified in disease or developmental disorders. It is closely related to the functional network of neuronal connections in the brain and can be described using graph theory. Topology can be used to estimate properties of the network, such as resistance to attack and distance between connected nodes, and is studied through various experimental methods including structural and functional MRI, DTI, MEG, and EEG.
