Blood oxygen saturation

Definition: Blood oxygen saturation is the concentration of oxygen-bound hemoglobin relative to the total concentration of hemoglobin in the blood, usually measured as a percentage. Normal arterial blood oxygen saturation is approx. between 95%-100%.

Alternative definition: The percentage of hemoglobin binding to oxygen in the blood.
