Tissue Oximetry

Definition: Tissue oximetry with near-infrared light is a non-invasive, optical method that measures blood hemoglobin oxygen saturation in tissue. In particular, it can be used to measure hemoglobin oxygen saturation of a brain region (cerebral tissue oximetry).
